Procrastinating my procrastination.

Hey y’all!

A quick update that may drag on, but never mind. I realised last night that I haven’t blogged here since early August, so decided I should update you on my doings and whereabouts, and as the title suggests, I think to myself that I should write this blog but then end up watching funny cat videos and stuff (when I should actually be doing uni work. Opps).

So since the last post, many exciting things have happened. I was accepted into University, which I started in late September and therefore have had to move up north. I’m studying Music and as a result, after Christmas I will be studying composition (yay!) and being taught how to actually write music. It would be great to put this into practice, especially in upcoming projects for witw!

I mentioned in my last update that I was helping with the code for <b>Elements</b>. I kind of got busy and didn’t actually end up doing much of it, so full credit goes to Dan for doing the app and then Matt for proof-reading and correcting mistakes with his immense chemistry knowledge.

Cosmo, cosmo cosmo! I thought I had finished the music, turns out I still have one piece to go (my bad Dan :P). Turns out I have a reading week soon, so I’m going to try and do it then. If not, when I return at Christmas! Then when the game is released, you can all look out for the Original Soundtrack on my YouTube channel, musicandthingswitw.

FINALLY, Dan is coming up to see me on a strict business trip. By which I mean he’s/we’re going to check out GameCity6 next week. Good times.

So on that note, I’ll be Bach soon. And by soon I mean before Christmas. And by before Christmas I mean when I get home. And by when I get ho…Never mind.

‘Tis the Season to be Blogging, Fa La La La Lah

G’day mate(s)

I’m going to try and keep this one short and sweet seeing as it’s just an update on my doings here at witw.

As Dan has mentioned in his most recent blog, Wormintheworks has hit the ‘droid market with The Mystery of Bockston House. This first app has been pretty successful and has just passed the 500 download mark! (Full credit to Dan for this one, Matt and I had nothing to do with it!)

The second app, Elements is currently in development with both myself and Dan working on the code. Now, I have literally just started learning code, due to Dan claiming it’s just like composing. In a way I see what he means, but my biggest problem is that I can’t remember all the tags! So my hat goes off to all you coders out there!

The music side of Cosmos has been slow, although it has given me time to think up some new ideas, so I will write them up soon.

Anyway that will be all from me today. I think I kept it short! Thanks for reading, and in the words of a professional Russian: “As always my friends. Have a nice day.”

Hey guys!

So Dan has let me have my own blog (yay!) after only just joining the team here at wormintheworks! As you may or may not have seen on the ‘About’ section of the site, I’m a composer, working on the background music for some of the games here.

As a result, I won’t really have much to blog about in terms of new and upcoming projects but I will keep you posted on any work that I am doing. That said, I’ve just finished writing the music for Antibody Blast: Go, to be released soon on android.

Moreover, as I’m sure you’ve read Dan’s Blog you will know about the prequel to the Cosmos Origin series (guess who’s writing the music?). Now this is my first big project in terms of background music, with numerous different settings and scenery to write for. However, I am really enjoying it, and can assure you this game will be amazing! I’m also planning on uploading all the soundtracks to YouTube or the like as part of the Cosmos Origins II OST, but I’ll say more about that at the time!

Anyway, after a team meeting today over 3 player New Super Mario Bros Wii, we all feel this project is going to be pretty successful and are all fully behind the development.
