Bristol Organic Food Festival ~ 6th and 7th of September 2008

The organic food festival starts in Bristol’s Town centre tomorrow. The festival is all about promoting organic foods and what they stand for. There will be tons of stalls stacked with fruits and vegetables and all sorts of food ready for you to try and buy. The official website for the Festival is here: Webby. The Festival is a joint partnership which is also running in Glasgow later this month on the 20th and 21st.

I will be headng down to thetown centre to take a look for my DT Food coursework, but there are plenty of reasons you should get involved. For a start, Organic food is on the increase, with the cost of fertilisers and pesticides going up, it may be a good idea to get one up on the competition and find out about the benefits of Vegetables grown without the need for man made chemicals.

But don’t just go thinking it’s all boring fruit and Veg, there will be entertainment there as well! There are DJs, Models a Television crew and much more to keep you entertained in and around Bristol’s Dock area.

It does cost money to get into the festival, but under 16s go in free, and its well worth the visit anyway…

Well, see you there!
